Winter has finally arrived, tis the most festive season of the year indeed. See below our handpicked events happening this very month!
The UK’s largest artificial Christmas tree will be brought to life with over 100,000 twinkling lights as McArthurGlen’s Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet launches the Christmas season with its annual switch on event.
This year, visitors will be able to marvel at the enormity of the tree from the inside as a magical archway makes it Europe’s first walk-in Christmas tree.
As the lights go on, shoppers will be dazzled by a musical fireworks extravaganza. For the rest of the evening, shoppers can stroll through the centre and soak up the festive atmosphere with Santa and his reindeer and choirs that will fill the air with Christmas carols.
In the lead up to Christmas, where there are over 145 premium, high street and designer brands for great gifts and winter fashion.
Shoppers can now enjoy late night shopping as the centre stays open until 9pm on weekdays, roaming with Christmas entertainment every weekend. Indulge in 145 luxury and high street brands, including must have British labels Burberry, Superdry and All Saints - all at up to 60% less and with tax-free shopping available.
SANTA Claus and live reindeer will be paying a visit to Hoole next weekend when the Christmas lights are switched on during a festive street party.
The fun begins from about 5.30pm when the walking parade gets under way with a jazz band, school choirs and cheerleaders before the switch-on at 6.15pm which will be performed by Hoole Cllr Bob Thompson followed by fireworks. Last year the event attracted 500 people so to make sure everyone know’s what is going on the event will be relayed via loud speakers and video screens.
Shops will be staying open late. And refreshments will be available including popcorn and candy floss. Mulled wine will be served by The Faulkner pub. There will be also be a raffle.
A Date for Your Diary.
